Who We Are

Kindred & Kind is a small powerhouse design studio owned and operated by women who love what we do and seek to make an impact doing it. We know design, and our intuitive approach allows us to complete your new branding in a very timely manner. Our goal is for you to enjoy working with us as you watch your vision unfold. We have created a signature process with this in mind, and we would love for you to experience it.

What to Expect

  • KINDRED CONSULTATION
    Before we even begin a project, we start by sitting down with you on a 45-minute call to learn more about your vision, your business, and determine if we are a good fit to support you.

    BOOKING & PREPARATION
    If you decide you want to work with us and we feel that we can deliver the kind of support you need, then we’ll put together the contract. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure a slot on our calendar. Once the deposit and contract are taken care of, you will receive your welcome packet. It guides you through preparing for your project so that when it’s time to dive in, everything goes smoothly. We call it homework just for fun.

    DESIGN & REFINE
    After our Alignment Call on day one of the project, then it's the part where you sit back and let us do what we do best: design. You get a round of refinement edits if necessary, as we want to work closely with you to ensure that your branding truly represents your vision.

    DELIVERY & LAUNCH
    We like to wrap up the project with a Wrap-up Call to go over everything. After the call, you will receive your assets along with a guide on implementing your new branding. We'll also toss in some virtual confetti to help you celebrate your new look!

  • Yes! Once we have met with you and determined that we are a good fit to support your brand, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to get on our project calendar.

    We schedule our projects out a few weeks at minimum, depending on our availability, so as to give you time to prepare for the project ahead of time. More on that below.

  • We feel that the foundation for a wonderful experience is these three things:

    1. Intentional Preparation

    2. Open Communication

    3. Commitment to Being Available

    When you sign on with us, you will receive a welcome packet which will guide you through the preparation steps leading up to the start of your project. Part of this will be joining the Slack channel we set up for you, as that is where our communication happens.

    We take great care to schedule your project in an opening in our calendar which works best for you, as you will need to commit to being available for the duration of the project.

  • It sure does! From the time we sit down to start your project on the first scheduled day, to the time we send you the final files, is one week.

    Now, this tight schedule does mean that we will need you to commit to being readily available the week of your project in order to stay on schedule. We will be in very close communication with you via Slack during the process. You get 2 rounds of refinement if needed, but any changes during the refinement phase will need to be communicated in a timely manner.

    If for any reason you are unable to keep this schedule, we do charge a late fee of 5% of the project total for each day we go past the deadline. This is because it really does add a lot of stress for us to juggle multiple projects, and we can't delay someone else's starting date should your project run over. We want to provide each of our clients a truly high-end experience, and guarding our project timelines is how we do this.

  • We only work with one branding client at a time, and when you schedule with us, we block off that time on our calendars just for your project. This is how we pace our projects to ensure the best experience for you. If for any reason you did need to back out, that spot would be left empty, which would not be good for our livelihood.

  • We only work with one branding client at a time. This helps us to deliver a truly exceptional experience in which each of our clients receives the dedicated attention you truly deserve.

  • While we mainly work with small businesses, we are open to working with larger companies as well. Whether you have a service-based business or one that is product-based, we would love to learn more about what you do, your industry, and how we could potentially impact your journey.

  • We do offer quite a few services in-house, including:

    • Complete Social Media Profile Brand Alignment

    • Platform-Specific Social Media Graphic Designs + Templates

    • Brand Voice Assessment

    • Website Design

    • Branded Digital + Print Media Assets

  • To get on our calendar, we do require a 50% non-refundable deposit. Then the remaining 50% can of course be paid in one sum, due by the final day of the project. Or if you need to break it down, we do offer a 2-month or 3-month payment plan for that remaining balance, but we do charge an additional fee. The arrangement is agreed upon before the project starts and is included in the contract.
